A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL…

August 18, 2017

Welcome back!

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I am excited to see all of you back and want to welcome all our new students and their families. It is exciting to see all the smiling faces, in their uniforms and backpacks ready for school. I look forward to a wonderful new school year.

Thank you to all of you who attended the meeting last Thursday. It was great to see all of our students and families come together again. As I mentioned at the meeting we are excited about the new school year and some of the improvements that are taking place such as our new Early Childhood playground that will be installed soon. Many of these projects became possible because of the hard work of many people and OLPH families. So we thank you for that.

I would also like to thank all the parents who help out during the summer to help our school get ready for school. Especially those that have been directing the carpool line in the morning and the afternoon. My priority is always the safety of the children. You should have already received your carpool sign, if you need to have extra ones for other cars please let Mrs. Arteaga know in the office and she will make them for you. To help the line run more efficiently and for safety purposes, please be sure it is on the passenger window or you can clip it to the visor on the passenger side. That will help us see it better. No child will be released without a carpool sign.

A reminder that doors open at 7:15 a.m. Students are to enter through the back doors of the school by the gym, and go directly to the cafeteria. Students are not allowed in the classrooms or bathrooms at any time. Breakfast is served from 7:15 a.m. to 7:40 a.m. Teachers meet their students in the cafeteria at 7:45.
